CUPRAVA 700 SC

CUPRAVA 700 SC is a high-persistence copper-based fungicide, formulated to provide preventive protection against a wide spectrum of fungal and bacterial diseases on crops. Its design ensures slower release of copper ions, giving longer-lasting residual protection compared to copper hydroxide, making it ideal for extended coverage during high disease pressure periods.

The product is highly suited for vegetables, fruits, field crops, and ornamentals, particularly in regions with humid, rainy, or irrigated conditions, where foliar diseases and bacterial infections develop rapidly. CUPRAVA serves as a foundation fungicide in integrated crop protection programs, forming a first line of defense against pathogen establishment.

Copper oxychloride releases copper ions on the leaf surface that interfere with a wide range of enzymes and proteins inside fungal and bacterial cells at once, not just a single target. That's why it kills spores before they can infect the plant, but has no effect on infections already established inside the tissue.

It's a pure contact protectant, it needs to be on the leaf surface before spores land, and reapplication after heavy rain or new leaf growth is what keeps protection continuous.

Because copper hits so many targets in the fungal cell at once, resistance to it is genuinely rare, this is one of the lowest resistance-risk options in the whole range, and it doesn't need the strict rotation discipline a single-site product does. The trade-off is that it must be applied ahead of infection.

Good coverage before wet weather matters more than the product itself once disease is already visible.

Copper can be phytotoxic to sensitive crops in hot, slow-drying conditions, so avoid spraying in the heat of the day and allow enough drying time before rain or irrigation. It's also incompatible with acidic tank-mix partners, check compatibility before combining with other products.

Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate. Store in the original container away from direct sunlight, children, food, and livestock.

Registered for use on labelled crops across East African markets, under the relevant national regulatory authority. Always read and follow the approved product label before use.
