FLUCLEAR 500 SC is a highly effective, broad-spectrum preventive fungicide designed for durable control of a wide range of foliar fungal pathogens, including late blight, leaf spots, rusts, and mildew. Its unique mode of action combines multi-site-like activity with strong pathogen inhibition, making it particularly useful as a resistance management tool in integrated disease management programs.
It is ideal for high-value crops such as potatoes, tomatoes, vegetables, ornamentals, and vineyards, especially in high humidity, rainy, or irrigated conditions where disease pressure is high.

Fluazinam disrupts the fungal cell's energy production, but not at a single specific enzyme the way most modern fungicides do, it interferes with the whole process of turning food into usable energy. That broad, multi-site action is exactly why it's considered low risk for resistance, there's no single mutation that lets a fungus dodge it completely.
It works as a protectant, applied ahead of infection to stop spores establishing.
Recommended rate: 0.4–0.6 litres per hectare
| Crop | Target | Timing | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| Irish potato | Late blight & Leaf spots | Preventive | 3 |
| Tomato | Late blight & Leaf spots | Preventive | 3 |
Because this is a genuinely low resistance-risk product, it doesn't need the same strict rotation discipline a single-site strobilurin or SDHI does, though alternating modes of action across a season is still good general practice. It performs best as a preventive spray timed ahead of wet, disease-favourable conditions, since it won't reverse infection that's already established.
