DUOSHIELD 450 SC is a dual-mode fungicide specifically designed for control of oomycete pathogens, such as Phytophthora, Pythium, and Peronospora species. Its combination of propamocarb HCl, a systemic oomycete inhibitor, and cymoxanil, a curative translaminar fungicide, allows both preventive protection and rapid suppression of early infections.
The product is ideal for high-value vegetables, fruits, and ornamentals, especially under humid, irrigated, or high rainfall conditions, where oomycete pathogens can spread rapidly. DUOSHIELD provides effective protection of both leaves and young growth, supporting yield, quality, and crop vigor.

Propamocarb disrupts the fatty membrane components an oomycete pathogen needs to grow, slowing hyphal spread and spore formation, and it moves systemically through the plant to protect tissue the spray never directly touched. Cymoxanil adds fast curative action, penetrating quickly to actively slow an infection that's already begun.
Between the two, you get lasting systemic prevention plus a genuine rescue option if disease has already taken hold.

This combination is purpose-built for oomycete diseases, downy mildew, late blight, and damping-off, and won't help against true fungal diseases like powdery mildew.
Spanning two FRAC groups already gives it some resistance protection, but don't treat that as unlimited, alternate with a phosphonate or multi-site protectant across the season rather than relying on this combination for every spray.
Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate. Store in the original container away from direct sunlight, children, food, and livestock.
