ZOVIRALIS 525 WDG

ZOVIRALIS 525 WDG is a dual-action fungicide formulated to provide rapid and sustained control of high-pressure foliar pathogens, particularly oomycetes such as late blight (Phytophthora infestans) and downy mildew. Its combination of a QoI fungicide (Famoxadone) and a Cymoxanil component allows for both preventive and early curative action, making it ideal for crops prone to fast-spreading infections under humid or irrigated conditions.

It is particularly suited for potatoes, tomatoes, cucurbits, and high-value vegetables, where early intervention is critical to prevent crop losses, preserve leaf health, and maintain yield and quality.

Famoxadone blocks fungal respiration at a specific point in the energy production chain, similar in concept to a strobilurin, and works mainly as a preventive. Cymoxanil moves into leaf tissue quickly and provides real curative punch, actively slowing an infection that's already started, which is something famoxadone alone doesn't do well.

Together, one gives lasting preventive cover and the other gives you a rescue option if disease has already begun.

This combination is built specifically for oomycete diseases like late blight and downy mildew, which move fast under wet, humid conditions, so don't wait for a confirmed outbreak before your first spray if the weather forecast favours disease.

Famoxadone is FRAC group 11, the same high resistance risk category as the strobilurins, so treat rotation seriously, alternate with a different group like a phosphonate or a multi-site protectant between sprays.

Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate. Store in the original container away from direct sunlight, children, food, and livestock.

Triple-rinse containers before disposal.

Registered for use on labelled crops across East African markets, under the relevant national regulatory authority. Always read and follow the approved product label before use.
