CYPHORA 50 EC

CYPHORA 50 EC is a broad-spectrum dual-action insecticide designed for the rapid and sustained control of mixed pest complexes, particularly where sucking and chewing pests occur concurrently. The formulation integrates systemic and contact activity, providing both immediate population knockdown and extended residual protection.

It is especially suited to vegetables, legumes, cotton, cereals, and fruit crops exposed to high pest pressure and virus-transmitting insects.

Lambda-cyhalothrin is a pyrethroid, it locks the sodium channels in the pest's nerve cells open, causing continuous nerve firing that leads to fast knockdown, usually within minutes to a couple of hours. Acetamiprid works on a different receptor entirely, it overstimulates the nervous system by binding where the insect's own neurotransmitter normally acts, and being systemic it moves through the plant to protect new growth the pyrethroid alone wouldn't reach.

Together they give the fast visible knockdown pyrethroids are known for plus longer systemic protection.

Expect very fast knockdown from the lambda-cyhalothrin side, often within hours, with the acetamiprid component extending protection to new leaves as they emerge. Because pyrethroids are broad-spectrum and hit beneficial insects along with the target pest, this isn't the product to reach for if you're actively protecting natural enemies as part of an IPM program.

Resistance to pyrethroids is common in several pests, so don't repeat this product across consecutive sprays, rotate to a different mode of action.

Highly toxic to bees and aquatic life, avoid spraying near water bodies or during flowering. Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection, avoid inhaling spray mist.

Store in the original container away from direct sunlight, children, food, and livestock.

Registered for use on labelled crops across East African markets, under the relevant national regulatory authority. Always read and follow the approved product label before use.
