Etoxazole blocks chitin formation in mites, so eggs fail to hatch properly and nymphs can't complete their moult, but it has little effect on adult mites already present. Spirodiclofen works differently, blocking fat production inside the mite's cells, and unlike etoxazole it's effective across every life stage, eggs, nymphs, and adults alike.

Pairing the two gives egg and nymph-stage disruption from one side plus whole-population coverage from the other.

Recommended rate: 8–10 ml per 20 litres of water, or 250–350 ml per hectare

This combination is strongest when applied to a mixed population, some eggs, some nymphs, some adults, since between the two actives most life stages are covered. Neither active is a fast knockdown product, expect the mite population to decline over one to two weeks rather than see an immediate crash.

Both are considered relatively gentle on predatory mites, which is a real advantage if you're relying on biological control for ongoing mite suppression.

Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate. Generally low risk to bees given the mode of action targets mite development rather than the nervous system.

Store in the original container away from direct sunlight, children, food, and livestock.

Registered for use on labelled crops across East African markets, under the relevant national regulatory authority. Always read and follow the approved product label before use.
