TRIBASE 500 SC

TRIBASE 500 SC is a dual-active fungicide formulation combining a methoxyacrylate strobilurin (QoI) with a triazole demethylation inhibitor (DMI). This architecture provides two independent biochemical interference points, targeting fungal respiration and membrane biosynthesis simultaneously.

The SC formulation ensures: Uniform dispersion of both active ingredients High bioavailability on leaf surfaces Rapid uptake into plant tissues Excellent spray coverage and adhesion The combination balances fast surface protection with deep internal systemic control, making it suitable for both preventive and early curative disease management.

Azoxystrobin works by cutting off the energy supply inside the fungal cell. It blocks a specific step in how the fungus breathes, and without that energy it can't grow or spread. It moves into the leaf and has strong preventive strength, so applied ahead of infection it stops spores from germinating in the first place.

Once a lesion has already formed though, it will slow the spread but won't undo the damage that's already there. This product does its best work on a preventive schedule, timed to weather that favours disease, not as a rescue spray once an outbreak is already visible.

Azoxystrobin is a single-site fungicide, FRAC group 11, which means a single mutation in the pathogen can knock it out completely. Once that resistance shows up, spraying more won't bring control back. Don't run more than two sprays of a Group 11 product in a row before switching modes of action.

Alternate with a multi-site protectant like mancozeb or chlorothalonil, or a Group 3 DMI, within the same program. This particular product already includes a Group 3 partner, which helps, but rotation discipline across the season still matters.

Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate. Like most systemic fungicides, avoid spraying in the heat of the day on crops already under stress.

Keep it in the original container, away from direct sunlight, children, food, and livestock. Triple-rinse containers before disposal.

Registered for use on labelled crops across East African markets, under the relevant national regulatory authority. Always read and follow the approved product label before use.
