BOTANILOCK 10 SC is a botanical insecticide-biostimulant hybrid designed for low-residue, IPM, and sustainability-driven production systems. It provides broad-spectrum suppression through behavioral and physiological disruption, rather than acute toxicity.
The product is suitable for use throughout the crop cycle, including pre-harvest intervals, and is widely applicable in organic-transition programs and export-oriented crops.

Azadirachtin comes from the neem tree and works mainly as an antifeedant and growth disruptor rather than a fast poison, treated insects stop feeding almost immediately and any that survive to the next moult often can't complete it properly. Matrine, from the Sophora plant, adds a faster-acting element, it interferes with the nervous system's normal signalling and, on contact, can block the insect's spiracles, contributing to a quicker knockdown that azadirachtin alone doesn't provide.
Together they give a slower, growth-disrupting effect alongside a faster contact action.
Recommended rate: 15–20 ml per 20 litres of water, or 500–700 ml per hectare
| Crop | Target | Timing | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| French beans | Aphids | At egg, larva, nymph & adult stages | 3 |
Because azadirachtin works partly through feeding deterrence and growth disruption, don't expect the same immediate visual knockdown as a pyrethroid, control shows up more over the following days as fewer larvae complete their life cycle.
Being a botanical combination with a mode of action distinct from most synthetic classes, it's a genuinely useful rotation partner rather than just an alternative to reach for when convenient.
Generally favourable toward beneficial insects and pollinators compared to broad-spectrum synthetics, but still avoid spraying directly onto flowering crops during active pollinator visits as good practice. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate.
Store away from direct sunlight, children, food, and livestock.
Registered for use on labelled crops across East African markets, under the relevant national regulatory authority. Always read and follow the approved product label before use.
